Overview

CareSuper has been looking after super for people in all kinds of professions since 1986 and has over 69,000 participating employers across Australia.

Enhancing the member experience and maximising members' retirement savings is at the core of everything we do. Our aim is to make super easy for members and employers by offering high levels of customer service and professionalism.

The Fund has delivered strong investment performance since inception and has received many awards and accolades from industry ratings agencies.

Eligible members can select from 13 investment options including the Direct Investment option which gives them the flexibility to invest part of their super in a range of shares, ETFs, LICs and term deposits.

The death, total & permanent disablement (TPD) and income protection arrangements provide eligible members with very competitive cost-effective and flexible insurance solutions.

Financial planning is offered through CareSuper's relationship with Industry Fund Services.

Extra benefits include access to low cost banking and insurance services. CareSuper offers members a range of flexible, tax-effective retirement products. This includes the CareSuper Pension, Transition to Retirement Pension and Guaranteed Income product, through which members can convert their benefit into a regular income stream.

Capital Guaranteed 100% defensive. This option aims to ensure the security of capital and it is the Trustees' intention that this option will be invested in the AMP Capital Guaranteed Savings Account, managed by AMP Life Limited.
Capital Stable 63% defensive and 37% growth. Invests in a diversified mixture of assets with an emphasis on fixed interest and cash assets.
Conservative Balanced 52% defensive and 48% growth. Invests in a blend of assets with an emphasis on fixed interest, cash and shares (Australian and overseas).
Balanced (MySuper/default option) 72% growth and 28% defensive. Invests in a diversified mixture of assets with emphasis on Australian and overseas shares and alternatives.
Sustainable Balanced 72% growth and 28% defensive. Invests in industries and companies that are considered to have a sustainable future on environmental and/or social grounds.
Alternative Growth 73% growth and 27% defensive. Invests in a diversified mixture of assets with emphasis on alternative asset classes as well as Australian and overseas shares.
Growth 81% growth and 19% defensive. Invests predominantly in shares, property and alternatives with an emphasis on Australian and overseas shares.
Capital Secure 100% defensive. Invests in a mix of short-dated and floating rate securities issued by Australian and overseas governments, banks and companies.
Fixed Interest 100% defensive. Invests in a range of debt securities including fixed-rate bonds, mortgage-backed securities and cash.
Direct Property 100% growth. Holds units in portfolios focused on core, high quality properties, mainly CBD office buildings and large shopping centres.
Australian Shares 100% growth. Invests mainly in the shares of Australian companies listed on the stock exchange.
Overseas Shares 100% growth. Invests in shares listed on the stock exchanges around the world, including both developed and emerging markets.
Direct Investment option Provides members with the choice and flexibility to manage part of their super.

Online transactions through EmployerOnline and clearing house. Annual employer reports and quarterly e-newsletters. Dedicated relationship managers from the Client Partnership team are available to assist employers and employees.

Buy-sell spread A buy-sell spread applies to CareSuper's investment options with the exception of the Direct Investment Option. These fees are reflected in the weekly unit prices.
