REST Pension is a division of REST Industry Super, one of Australia's most established superannuation funds, operating since 1988. REST Industry Super is a profit-to-members fund and is open to all Australians. REST is Australia's largest superannuation fund by membership, with over 1.9 million members and more than $20 billion of funds under management. REST has been awarded by Money Magazine, Best Growth Super Fund 2010 and 2011, SuperRatings Fund of the Year Finalist 2011 and 7 Year Platinum Performer 2004-2011, AFR Smart Investor Blue Ribbon Awards 2009 and 2010 Industry Fund of the Year, and SelectingSuper Retirement Fund of the Year and Workplace Super Product of the Year 2010.

INVESTMENT OPTIONS*  
Core Strategy 25% defensive, 75% growth. A mix of shares and bonds, property, infrastructure, alternative assets and cash. This is the default investment option. The Trustee actively manages this option.
Structured Options

REST offers eligible members who wish to make an investment selection the choice of structured asset allocations in five portfolios with a broad range of investment strategies. These options are multi-manager portfolios. In this way, REST minimises "manager risk" for members by diversifying each investment portfolio across a range of investment managers. All options are rebalanced to the specific asset allocation on a weekly basis.

These can also be mixed in any combination and proportion to create a fully customised investment option.

Management Costs - investment fee (%pa)

As at 30 June 2010, 0.06% to 0.70% (depending on the member's investment option for the year to 30 June 2010). This fee includes performance fees of up to 0.14%.

Switch fee

First 4 switches per financial year are free, thereafter $20 per switch

Withdrawal fee

The first withdrawal (either full or partial), is free, then $25 per withdrawal thereafter.

Termination fee

Nil. If you have made a previous withdrawal, a $25 withdrawal fee will apply as described above.
