Local Government Super (LGS) was established on 30 June 1997 as a not for profit 'industry' fund, for the purpose of providing retirement benefits for certain Local Government Super employees in NSW. Under the Trust Deed, LGS is divided into two pools of assets and seven divisions.
LGS has recently also opened up a Public Offer Division to allow members who have left Local Government Employment to continue contributing to LGS. From 1 July 2010 this Public Offer Division is also open to anyone who is eligible to join a superannuation fund. |
