Acumen is a multi award winning corporate super offering. It is a division of REST Superannuation, which is one of Australia's most established funds, operating since 1988. Core Strategy 23% defensive, 77% growth. A mix shares and bonds, property, infrastructure, alternative assets and cash. This is the default investment option. The Trustee actively reviews the asset allocation for this option regularly.
Structured Options

Acumen offers members who are eligible and wish to make an investment selection the choice of structured asset allocations in five portfolios with a broad range of investment strategies. These options are multi-manager portfolios. In this way, Acumen minimises "manager risk" for members by diversifying each investment portfolio across a range of investment managers.

Contribution fee

Nil (where contributions are paid electronically)

Withdrawal fee

Nil (the first withdrawal or partial withdrawal is free, then $25 per withdrawal thereafter)

Termination fee

Nil (unless successor fund transfer)

Asset-based fee

Accumulation Plans:
0.50% first $500K of plan assets
0.20% next $2 million
0.10% thereafter
Defined Benefit Plans on application

Insurance fee

Nil (up to $0.25 per member per week for non-standard insurer)

Management Cost - member fee ($ per week / annum) $1.25 per member per week for straight forward accumulation plans. Up to $1.50 per member per week for complex or defined benefit plans
Management Cost - investment fee (% p.a.)

As at 30 June 2009, 0.06% to 0.76% depending on your chosen investment option. This fee includes performance fees of up to 0.24%

Switching fee

First 4 switches per financial year are free, thereafter $20 per switch
